The MotherBorn Collective CIC was founded with a simple but powerful purpose: to create a community where every mother feels seen, valued, and supported – to bring you your village!
We know the journey into parenthood can be beautiful, challenging, and unique for each family. That’s why we’re here, in Kingsbridge and the surrounding area, offering a safe and nurturing space where mothers and families can connect, learn, and thrive.
Whether it’s breastfeeding or bottlefeeding guidance, babywearing peer support, or just a friendly place to unwind with other parents, MotherBorn is here for you.
OUR SERVICES
Find experienced, compassionate help for your feeding journey, whatever shape it takes and however it changes along the way.
We offer antenatal classes - Preparing to Breastfeed - from 36 weeks of pregnancy, and 1:1 breastfeeding support (bottlefeeding or combination feeding support too!) from the moment your little one arrives.
Home visits are available within a 15 mile radius of Kingsbridge (including Totnes, Salcombe, Modbury, Ivybridge and the surrounding areas).
You are also welcome to come along to our clinic space for an appointment if you'd prefer.
Later on, we run regular Starting Solids Masterclasses to build your confidence when it comes to introducing food to your baby.
Join our weekly Nurslings groups for play, relaxation, and a listening ear. Connect with other local parents in a safe, inclusive space.
Trained breastfeeding peer supporters will be on hand for feeding support if you need it and our babywearing peer supporters can help you wear your baby in a sling safely and comfortably.

We hire out hospital grade Ardo Calypso breast pumps at low cost to familes in need within the South Hams area. These are brilliant pumps that are praised by those who use them! Getting the right size breast shell is essential for comfort and to maximise milk output, so we also have a variety of sizes available for a small addition cost.
As well as breast pumps, we will soon be hiring out TENS machines and baby slings/carriers and more, as well as our range of gently preloved maternity, nursing and baby clothing available to purchase!
Our community hub is here to make life a little easier and support every step of early parenthood.
As well as our own sessions on learning to breastfeeding, preparation for motherhood, starting solids and more, we also facilitate groups run by other local experts in their field - baby massage, mum & baby yoga, toddler groups, tummy time sessions, first aid for babies & children, and more.
